Meaning
A woolly mammoth with shaggy brown fur, a high domed head and huge curving tusks. It represents the extinct elephant relative of the Ice Age.
It is used for anything enormous, ancient or long overdue, prehistoric documentaries, museum trips and jokes about old technology. Example: “My laptop is so old it basically belongs next to a mammoth 🦣”.
