Meaning
A medal hanging from a ribbon, usually with a star or emblem, the kind awarded for military service or bravery.
It honours service, sacrifice and courage, and it is also used jokingly for surviving something hard: “You deserve a 🎖️ for sitting through that meeting.” Compared with 🏅, it feels more formal and tied to duty than to sport.
