Meaning
Eyes shut tight into little sideways arrows and a wide open mouth: this face is caught in a burst of loud laughter. It means something genuinely cracked you up, often with a hint of silliness or disbelief.
Reach for it when a friend’s joke, a meme or an embarrassing story makes you laugh out loud: “He waved back at someone who wasn’t waving at him 😆” It is livelier than a simple grin yet less dramatic than rolling on the floor. Used after your own joke, it can look like you are laughing loudest at yourself.
