Meaning
A staff with a single snake coiled around it, the rod of Asclepius, the classic emblem of medicine. It stands for health care, doctors, nurses and medical services.
It appears in health tips, clinic posts, medical student bios and get-well wishes: “Night shift at the hospital again ⚕️ coffee please” It is also part of the sequence that builds health worker emoji like 🧑⚕️. It is often confused with the caduceus, a winged staff with two snakes.
