An asterisk with eight spokes, usually white on a green square. It works like a bold version of the * used for footnotes and side notes.
People use it as a bullet point, to flag extra information or terms and conditions, and to decorate menus and bios: “✳️ Prices include tax ✳️ Free delivery on bigger orders” It is often confused with ✴️, the orange eight-pointed star, and with ❇️, the green sparkle.
