Meaning
The flag of Benin: a green vertical band on the left, with a yellow stripe above a red stripe on the right. It represents the West African country whose official capital is Porto-Novo, while Cotonou is its economic hub.
People use it for heritage posts, football support, coastal travel and cultural celebrations, including the country’s well-known Vodun traditions: “Market day in Cotonou 🇧🇯 colours everywhere” At a glance it is easy to confuse with 🇬🇳 Guinea or 🇧🇴 Bolivia, which share the same three colours.
