Meaning
A person in a tuxedo, a formal black suit with a bow tie, dressed for a wedding, gala or black-tie evening. This is the gender-neutral version; man and woman versions also exist, each with skin tones.
It is used for formal events, award nights, proms and anything that requires dressing sharp. Often seen with 🥂 or 🎩: “Dress code tonight is black tie, time to dust off the suit 🤵”
