Meaning
A thin sliver of light along one edge of a mostly dark moon, the crescent that appears in the evening sky a few days after the new moon. The lit edge is usually drawn on the right, as seen from the Northern Hemisphere.
Because the light is growing, it often stands for growth, hope or a project just getting started: “Day three of learning guitar 🌒 slowly getting there.” In moon-phase sequences it comes right after 🌑.
