Meaning
A heavy brown bison with a shaggy hump, thick fur on the front of its body and short curved horns. It represents the wild cattle of the North American plains and European forests.
It fits national park trips, wildlife posts and descriptions of sheer bulk or stubborn strength, and it is easily confused with an ox or a buffalo. Example: “Traffic jam in the park because a bison decided to cross the road very slowly 🦬”.
