Meaning
A smiling face with closed happy eyes and its tongue poking out of one corner of the mouth, as if licking its lips. It means “yum”: food looks or tastes delicious, or you cannot wait to eat.
Food photos, restaurant recommendations and dinner plans are its natural home: “Mom made her famous spring rolls tonight 😋” It can also describe anything tempting, like a sale you are about to raid. Do not confuse it with the tongue-out winking face, which is about goofing around rather than taste.
