Meaning
A face covering most of itself with a hand, with one eye peeking out between the fingers. Literally it is looking at something while trying not to.
Think horror movie jump scares, exam results, or a risky message you just sent and are scared to check. It also works for shy curiosity and mild embarrassment. Pair with 😬 or 👀. Example: “Grades are out and I can’t bring myself to open the link 🫣”.
