Meaning
The flag of the Åland Islands: a blue field with a yellow Nordic cross and a thinner red cross inside it. Åland is an autonomous, Swedish-speaking archipelago that belongs to Finland.
It shows up in posts about Baltic island hopping, ferry trips between Finland and Sweden, cycling holidays and local pride: “Biking around Åland 🇦🇽 more islands than I can count” It looks close to Sweden’s 🇸🇪 flag, but the red inner cross sets it apart.
