Meaning
The flag of Costa Rica: five horizontal stripes of blue, white, a double-width red centre, white and blue. The official state version adds the coat of arms on the red band.
Shared with rainforest, volcano and wildlife photos, surf trips and coffee, plus the local motto “pura vida”, often with 🦥 or 🌋. Thailand’s flag uses a similar stripe pattern with the colours in a different order. “Saw a sloth today, pura vida 🇨🇷🦥”
