Meaning
A black square academic cap, the mortarboard, with a tassel hanging to one side. It is the universal symbol for finishing a course of study.
It stands for graduation, degrees, school milestones and education in general: “Officially a graduate 🎓 thank you, Mom and Dad!” It also suits exam results, study goals and learning achievements. Tossing it into the air is the classic celebration moment.
