Yen banknote

Unicode U+1F4B4 · Emoji 0.6

U+1F4B4

Meaning

A paper banknote marked with the yen sign. It stands for Japanese money in particular and for cash in general.

Travelers use it when budgeting a Japan trip or exchanging currency, and shoppers use it for imported goods: “Exchanged my savings into 💴 for Tokyo, wish my wallet luck.” Because the same sign is also used for China’s yuan, some people borrow it for that currency too.
