Meaning
A disc much like a CD but commonly drawn in gold, standing for a DVD. It means movies on disc, video storage and physical media in general.
People use it for movie nights, box sets and collector editions: “Dug out the old 📀 of our favorite cartoon for the kids tonight.” In practice it is often swapped with 💿, since both now mainly signal nostalgia for shelves full of discs.
