Meaning
Curved arcs spreading out from a small dot, the familiar wireless or Wi-Fi symbol. One of the newer additions, from emoji version 15.0, it means a wireless connection is available.
Cafés, homestays and co-working spaces use it to advertise their internet, and friends use it to ask for the password or complain when it drops: “🛜 Free Wi-Fi, password on the receipt” It is clearer than 📶, which also covers mobile signal. Older devices may show an empty box instead.
