One mark, one frame per character
Unicode has a combining enclosing diamond: a mark that draws a diamond around whatever character comes before it. Our generator adds it after each letter, digit and symbol, leaving spaces alone, so S⃟a⃟l⃟e⃟ t⃟o⃟d⃟a⃟y⃟ keeps its word gap. Nothing is replaced, which means accents survive: T⃟i⃟ế⃟n⃟g⃟ V⃟i⃟ệ⃟t⃟ still shows ế and ệ inside their frames.
The frame is not part of the letter. The app showing your text has to find a font that knows how to draw an enclosing mark, which usually means a symbol font rather than the regular text font.
Why it looks different on every screen
Where a capable symbol font is present, each character sits neatly inside its diamond. Where it is not, you may see the diamond drawn beside the letter, a diamond overlapping its neighbor, or a small box. Letters and frames rarely line up perfectly across apps, and wide letters such as W can poke out of the shape.
That unpredictability makes diamonds better for a short label than for a full message. A two- or three-letter tag, a rank or one highlighted word looks strong; a whole sentence gets crowded. Preview the result on the device and app where your audience will read it.
Similar framed styles
If the diamond feels too sharp, bubble text uses circled letters that display more consistently, and do not enter text applies the same enclosing technique with a circle and slash. Screen readers handle all of these poorly, so keep a plain version of anything important nearby.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the diamond next to the letter instead of around it?
The app could not find a font that draws the enclosing diamond, so it placed the mark on its own. Another app or device may show the intended look.
Do accents still work?
Yes. Accents are kept and the diamond is drawn around the whole letter, though tall stacks such as ệ may touch the frame.
Can I put emoji inside diamonds?
The tool frames every visible character, emoji included, but whether it displays well depends entirely on the font. Plain letters and digits give the most reliable results.
How do I remove the diamonds?
Paste the text into the unstyle tool. It strips the enclosing marks and leaves the original characters.
